YOUR ROLE

You’ll be a member of the Product Management team building new integrations and features for Immuta’s data platform integrations. This team is both deeply technical and has a high degree of product sense, and focuses deliberately on understanding how our customers think about the pain points our software helps them solve. We work with an Engineering team composed of folks with deep technical backgrounds in concepts such as query optimization and database architecture, including engineers who have spent over 20 years working on internals of PostgreSQL.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone majoring in Computer Science or other engineering discipline who is deciding between starting their career in either Product or Engineering, and would like firsthand experience in Product in order to inform that decision.

You will work with the Director of Product for data platform integrations such as Snowflake, Databricks, Starburst, Amazon Redshift, and Google BigQuery. You will assist in solving problems that lead to user adoption and business impact.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR STUDENTS WHO

  • Are interested in Product Management at a hyper-scale B2B data company.
  • Are seeking to develop product sense, an inner view into how product definition for a product in the modern data stack works, as well as a view into how key integration partnerships work, both at the product and go-to-market level.
  • Will grow your product skills, knowledge of customers in the data space, and have opportunities to network with folks at some of the largest data platform companies in the world.
  • Are available to work 20-40 hours/ week this summer 2022

PROBLEMS YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Helping define the product for a semantic, unified data access layer that sits on top of and pushes policy enforcement primitives to analytical data platforms, such as Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Learn how to work with a deeply technical Engineering team on problems in a challenging technical domain.
  • Learn both high-level strategic thinking as well as micro-decision making in a product, like what text belongs on a UI button.
