Geotab is seeking a Customer Experience Training Specialists who will organize and own key projects and initiatives championed or sponsored by the Operations team. The Customer Experience Training Specialist will help design, implement and deliver learning programs for both classroom and online use. These modules will be used to onboard, train and upskill new employees, existing employees and leaders throughout the organization, and end customers and Resellers as well. This position will collaborate with stakeholders and business partners to develop learning solutions that align business needs with learning objectives. This position will identify and analyze the skills, performance and knowledge gaps to create effective learning programs for corporate-wide initiatives in the areas of onboarding, core competency development, succession planning and career management.

What you’ll do

As a Customer Experience Training Specialists your key area of responsibility will be creating and managing a project’s scope, project plan, and deliverables. You will be responsible for the implementation of the project tasks, as well as managing day-to-day activities. You will also need to provide regular status reports to key partners to ensure the project is on time and meeting expectations. You will need to work closely with Geotab’s Legal, Production, and Supply Chain teams, as well as communicate with external vendors.

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to quickly understand complex, technical concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to identify needs, develop effective solutions, and manage projects through completion. The successful candidate will also be able to manage multiple timelines and contrasting priorities to ensure timely results.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish a plus
  • Coordinate, develop, facilitate and implement globally aligned onboarding and learning solutions.
  • Deliver and facilitate training via live classroom, onsite training, web/video conference and one-on-one training.
  • Design and develop creative, high quality, interactive learning content for remote and classroom training including lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, videos, practical exercises, engaging activities, training handouts and evaluations.
  • Ensure all recurring learning programs are updated on a regular basis to encompass program, product, service delivery, procedural and technology changes.
  • Work with tight deadlines and provide valuable input on projects to enhance and customize training processes that exceed operational needs.
  • Develop effective project plans to facilitate the building of learning programs and curriculum to close gaps identified.
  • Support ongoing employee development using the learning management system (LMS), external learning service providers and promote training programs.
  • Ensure all onboarding content is current and makes a first impression that matches Geotab’s branding.
  • Ensure all training solutions are engaging and impactful.

What you’ll bring to this role

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate learning and development or training.
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Software (LMS).
  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to quality, detail and accuracy, combined with the ability to manage multiple high priority tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to train different audiences effectively.
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
  • Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
