Job Description

We are looking for a self-directed SEO expert to manage search engine optimization and marketing activities. The SEO Specialist will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as keyword strategy, content strategy and link building to increase organic search rankings and drive search traffic from Google, Bing, Yahoo and other search engines. A successful SEO specialist must keep up-to-date with the latest industry best practices and work closely with editorial and marketing teams to develop a successful organic search strategy.

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will lead the overall (SEO/SEM) of our biggest and most productive projects. You will work closely with marketing teammates and cross-functional groups to create an optimal online experience from the time a business first engages with us to when they extremely happy with an execution activities.

You will be responsible for day-to-day web changes, integrated SEO, link building, and content marketing. You will support development of content that is consistent with our brand and key messages as well as efforts to test those messages and online elements. We’re looking for a flexible, team player who has experience with online marketing and working with small businesses, corporate, and everything in between. The ideal candidate can take initiative to recommend and lead the charge to implement projects with minimal direction and is an analytical, energetic, a strategic thinker, pays close attention to detail, and is a strategic problem solver with web and SEO experience supporting a B2B market.

The manager must be able to analyze and track data to maximize the performance of each campaign to achieve revenue, profit, new customer acquisition, SEO, and growth goals.


  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine optimization

Conduct technical SEO audits to identify issues on client websites of all types and sizes

Assist with website migration projects

Perform ongoing keyword research and discovery, expansion and optimization

Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations on the website

Research and analyze competitor content and links

Develop and implement link building strategy

  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code

Document technical recommendations to resolve issues and improve performance

Interface with clients and developers to communicate recommendations and answer their questions

Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content strategy and creation

  • Work closely with social media team to align social distribution and SEO efforts
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords

Assist with training staff on technical SEO best practices

Stay current with SEO industry trends and algorithm changes


  • 3-5+ years of agency experience in Digital Marketing field with focus on SEO
  • Ability to work independently to drive success to clients and prospects

Deep understanding of technical SEO best practices as related to site architecture, page speed optimization, mobile usability and websites built on Wordpress

Relevant SEO knowledge of HTML, CSS

Attention to detail and accuracy

Passion for internet marketing with an eye for design and a strong understanding of the synergy between various components of digital marketing, such as SEO, social, video content, and the blogosphere

  • Proven SEO experience (including on-site and off-site SEO) and a track record of success growing organic search traffic and conversions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • General Experience with tools such as Google Sheets, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
  • Proven experience in achieving measurable targets for customer and revenue growth
  • Meticulous, analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to deliver data-driven results, analysis, testing and application of findings
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and flexibility to exploit the unexpected and succeed in dynamic situations
  • Experience successfully executing new marketing programs
  • General understanding of PPC advertising is a plus
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and inbound marketing
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g, Wordpress)
