Give me a breakdown of what an SEO Specialist at Brainlabs does:
Client Management Responsibilities (80%):
- Measured on efficacy of client support, account team feedback, as well as client retention, growth, and satisfaction for clients under management
- Successfully completes new hire training program
- Supports 1-3 client accounts (MRR less than $8k/month)
- Implement QA checks on relevant SEO platforms
- Monitor budgets and performance and make optimizations on a daily basis
- Communicate performance, client contact changes, and relationship issues to account leads, while providing ideas for solutions
- Perform regular analyses and make data-driven recommendations
- Contribute to account work, including presentations, audits, reporting, etc.
- Provide effective account support, e.g. drafting agendas, taking meeting notes, pre and post-call notes, and updating project trackers
- Implement & use Brainlabs’ tools and applies test and learn methodology on all accounts
- Respond to client emails
Leadership Responsibilities (20%):
- Models leadership qualities including alignment to company priorities and philosophies, effective stress and emotion self-management

We are looking to bring on a new SEO Marketing Strategist to our growing team. Our SEO Marketing Strategists are the creative and strategic generators of our client campaigns. Strategists are ultimately responsible for a deep and nuanced understanding of our clients, their industry, and their target audience. They are also responsible for a deep understanding of their SEO, ROI, and company goals, and the big-picture campaign strategy that will ensure clients meet those goals. They work within a team of Writers, Editors, and Web Designers to provide an excellent experience for clients and the highest level of SEO strategy for each piece of content we deliver.
Salary & Benefits:
This is a full-time, remote position with a starting salary of $70,000 annually. Benefits include:

Duties:
- Strategy Responsibilities
- During client onboarding, cultivate a deep and intimate understanding of clients’ industry, target audience(s), brand voice and tone, competitive advantages, and campaign goals to create a clear and comprehensive roadmap for their campaign.
- Ability to articulate a thorough, intuitive, creative and research-based understanding of how a client’s campaign strategy will help them to achieve their most important goals. This needs to be shared regularly with content teams and clients to ensure ongoing buy in and alignment.
- Maintain and revise the Strategy Roadmap doc, as needed, throughout the duration of the campaign. It is an iterative process.
- Drive upsells and renewals by pinpointing and presenting strategy opportunities to teammates and clients.
- Working closely with writers and editors to dig into keywords, search intent, and client site to align on strategic opportunities and ensure team alignment.
- Client Relationship Responsibilities
- Successfully cultivate a trusting and collaborative relationship with each of their clients.
- Keep the client engaged and excited, as well as educated on our strategic plan to achieve their goals.
- Has great organization and clarity in all of the tasks, emails, agendas, action items and workflows they are responsible for so clients feel led, cared for, and confident that work is being completed on time and at a high level.
- Reporting Responsibilities
- Generate quarterly client analysis reports, present to content team and client, and use this information to continually improve and realign campaign strategy throughout the duration of a campaign to ensure we are on track toward our benchmarks.
- Readily available to answer client questions and share additional data points.
- Review live deliverable links monthly/quarterly to ensure high level strategy is being executed in actual deliverables and performance is where it should be. Report findings to internal and client teams along with strategic pivots as needed.
- Company Responsibilities

- Contribute to FPS by engaging with your teammates and managers on client-specific discussions, including upcoming strategy shifts, requests for team support or input on content strategy, and by providing insights from your own client research to support or help inform your teammate’s own client strategy decisions.
- High competency and organization in all internal platforms and systems, including Taskworld, Google Drive (Docs and Sheets), AHREFS, SEMRush, Google Analytics, and other Google suite products.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Required fluency to read and speak English
- Required to attend & participate in virtual meetings weekly
- Required to type and read
- Required to utilize Google Docs, Taskworld, and the internet for 8 hours per day
- Required to structure environment conducive to productivity
- Required to have consistent access to a computer, webcam, and microphone during working hours.
- Dedicated workspace is preferred though not required
