Job Description

SCOPE OF THE JOB:


The Off-Page SEO Specialist is responsible for assisting with all activities relating to links such as outreach ideation, prospecting, communication liaising, negotiating and maintaining relationships with third parties across the Catena US site networks.

YOUR CHALLANGE:

  • Off-Page SEO
  • Using tools such as Ahrefs, Majestic and SEMrush to analyze backlink profiles, evaluate websites performance, understand the results, make recommendations on improvements and implement. Examples include:
  • Prospecting: Create lists of domains, journalists and other resources that are useful for future campaigns and outreach, using advanced searching techniques.
  • Competitor Analysis: Evaluating and monitoring competitors for off-page metrics, including backlink gap analysis and overall backlink profile evaluation.
  • Processes: Ensuring the processes are maintained to increase efficiency and effectiveness, whilst also identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor, track and analyze ranking performance on an on-going basis.
  • Disavow: Occasionally evaluate current backlink profile’s toxicity and spam issues, to ensure adequate maintenance of portfolio is kept.
  • Research and identify additional opportunities to increase our portfolio’s exposure on the SERPs.
  • Reporting
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Data Studio).
  • Build and maintain the monthly SEO report in Google Sheets.

TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:

  • The Off-page SEO Specialist would ideally have experience with outreach and link building, or an interest in SEO as an industry, and a college degree is preferable. The position is remote or based within the Malta office.


  • College or University degree (preferable within Marketing or Digital Marketing but not essential).
  • Previous experience within a similar role, will be considered a benefit.
  • Previous experience with SEO Analytic tools such as Majestic, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics and Google Search Console will be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask multiple different projects under deadlines.
  • A key attention to detail, an analytical mindset and creative thinking would be considered strengths for the role.
  • Evening and/or weekend work will be required on occasion.
  • May occasionally be asked to travel to sites or events in the course of the job.
