About The Role
We are looking for a road warrior Field Project Manager to lead a travel team to handle new installations of ButterflyMX products nationwide. This role will report to the Manager, Field Operations and be responsible for field work including interfacing with low voltage/access control installers, building staff, tenants, and property managers. This is a field role that entails 100% travel nationwide, with direct support from offices in the NYC-Tristate, NOCAL, and SOCAL areas.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for installation and servicing of our product’s hardware component in the field, alongside a Senior Field Technician (Traveling) and Network Technician (Traveling)
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the team
  • Provide project management to the team in conjunction with the assigned Manager, Field Operations and Technical Manager(s) assigned to field operations
  • Ensure logistical success - coordinate shipments of tools, materials, equipment and of our hardware components to ensure no delays happen due to logistics issues
  • Work with onsite Property Management, General Contractors and other trades to ensure successful execution of the installation of our products
  • Use standards, industry best practices, and our product documentation to ensure a high level of excellence in installation
  • Document, photograph, and communicate effectively all relevant information about a site, using our SOPs and web based tools
  • Work with the Senior Lead Technician and Technical Managers to assist in creating documentation and SOPs
  • Provide first contact support to tenants, building staff, and property managers while on site
  • Maintain and keep track of all facilities and equipment assigned to their field team
  • Assist Implementation Specialists, other Lead Technicians, and Technical Managers as needed in training, troubleshooting, and complex installation design.
  • Assist other teams on hardware related office issues as directed

About You

  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience, with at least 5 years in a foreman or lead role, in access control, intercom, alarm, datacom, and/or plant/inside telecom, low voltage. Must understand that this role requires to be willing and able to be away from home for long periods of time, including weekends. This role is a lifestyle.
  • Experience using soldering iron, low torque power tools, crimpers, terminators, multimeters, testers, and certifiers
  • Ability to perform minor construction tasks, such as penetrations, firestopping and bonding
  • Circuit, relay, and prototyping logic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read technical diagrams as well as finding and reading manuals
  • Experience with ticketing and tracking processes
  • Ability to write/fill out detailed reports on each site including pictures
  • Ability to learn new competencies and a good attitude towards teaching others is critical
  • Ability to use web-based software tools such as Salesforce and Lucidcharts
  • Deep working knowledge of low voltage electrical work, relay logic, circuit logic, access control, and structured cabling
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Current OSHA 30
  • Valid driver license
  • Any related certifications (ie BICSI INST1, INSTC, or TECH) or formal education is a plus, but not a substitute for experience
  • Knowledge of technical Spanish, Mandarin/Cantonese Chinese, and/or any language common in the field also a plus
