Who We Are

Geosite builds workflow software at the intersection of legacy GIS engineering tools and modern cloud collaboration platforms. Our main product is a SaaS platform that enables users to collaborate on the creation, fusion and dissemination of geospatial data to facilitate reconnaissance, planning and operations across a wide range of industries. Our customers include major energy companies, environmental organizations and the US Department of Defense. Led by PhDs, GIS experts, and veterans, we are Series A financed and backed by several major VCs including YCombinator.

What We Are Looking For

We are hiring a SOFTWARE PROJECT MANAGER to help manage the development and delivery of Geosite's technical products. To do so, you will liaise with government and private sector clients to ascertain project requirements, then task-organize and help lead our engineering and data science teams in meeting them. You will, therefore, have a critical impact on helping Geosite achieve mission success.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Navigate projects through their entire development cycles
  • Manage development by communicating task/feature priorities and allocating resources while meeting feature goals deadlines
  • Manage the scope and capacity of product teams

Experience & Qualifications:

  • An excellent understanding of software development processes and technologies, and domain-driven design principles
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying various project management methodologies e.g. Agile, Kanban, Waterfall
  • Expertise in project management software, e.g. JIRA, Confluence
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience dealing with vendors and managing contracts
  • Experience with enterprise clients and good client management skills

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with Federal government contracts
  • Experience with FedRAMP, RMF and other government certification processes
  • PMP, PgMP or comparable certification
  • Early-stage startup experience
  • Experience in GIS, geography, and mapping products
