The Product Marketing Manager is passionate about communicating the value of our product to our target audience. This team member will drive the overall plans and strategy around go-to-market, message/positioning, and sales enablement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • For new products or new features, own the go to market launch strategy. Define, communicate, and execute the go-to-market strategy, including a clear definition of the target customer segments, prioritization, and approach to release strategy.
  • Fundamentally understands the buyer and market, crafts the personas and creates product messaging framework
  • Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned
  • Market intelligence—be the expert on our buyers, who they are, how they buy and their key buying criteria
  • Become a subject matter expert on the audience, product, competitors and market trends
  • Work with product management team members to translate technical product details into value propositions for communicating features and their value to the market
  • Collaborate with product management and customer teams to influence product roadmap based on customer insight, market research, customer adoption, and market awareness
  • Work with marketing team members to execute the overarching marketing plan for the business including key activities and initiatives to support new customer acquisition, as well as revenue expansion within existing customers
  • Enables the sales team with market insights and how to talk about the product
  • Plan and produce a variety of sales enablement content, including but not limited to product marketing content, sales enablement TCO/ROI aids, competitor battlecards
  • Responsible for making data-driven analysis to verify product market fit assumptions and decisions
  • Ability to create clear and compelling messages and a willingness to roll up the sleeves to create externally-facing assets or internal deliverables
  • Maintain product-centric marketing assets and sales tools, including the development of messaging and copy to support the creation of these materials.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in the software industry preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing or product preferred
  • Experience in the in the banking and payments industry required
  • Proven track record in working with cross functional teams, getting buy-in and executing marketing plans, and staying focused on “getting it done” in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple and intuitive communications
