About the Role: A Technical Writer at Madison Logic will operate independently, focusing on helping to guide all product and process documentation efforts to create a best in breed mar-tech environment. You will work with Product, Engineering, Operations and Sales to communicate complex, technical information and to implement full documentation and documentation systems using industry standard best practices. You will guide the organization as it enhances its technical documentation and aid in the adoption and support of new features. analyze the rippling impacts of technical decisions on other system components and ensure quality documentation is created. Furthermore, a Technical Writer must be willing and able to mentor other team members within the Madison Logic team. You will be responsible for guiding and advising a team that is building and maintaining a best in breed customer stack, from ticketing systems to knowledge bases. Your contributions will ensure that our documentation is both cutting-edge and easy to use.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
  • Develop documentation best practice and organizational standards
  • Build a thorough understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple and easily understood content
  • Create user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience
  • Build and maintain repositories of appropriate application materials, including research, usability testing designs, and design specifications
  • Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
  • Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
  • Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage
  • Adopt proper support communication strategies to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Help our team grow from your expertise, experience, and perspectives.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 1+yrs experience in a relevant technical field or 4+yrs experience as an Technical Writer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience using XML tools to create documentation
  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees and customers.
  • Curiosity towards new technology and outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer software and systems.
