Coast supports a wide range of daily operational needs and we serve a very wide range of organizations. Our primary focus right now is providing solutions for critical maintenance needs.

Role

We are looking for a highly talented and passionate content marketing manager to join our team at Coast. You will play an integral role in bringing traffic and new customers into our funnel via engaging, awesome long and short-form content.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, committed to producing high-quality deliverables (even when deadlines are tight), thrives in a dynamic startup environment, lets nothing fall through the cracks, and has a firm grasp on content and copy best practices.

What you'll do

  • Creating exceptional content. Writing, editing, and project managing content that supports larger marketing campaigns, including (but not limited to): e-books, blog posts, interactive experiences, videos briefs/scripts, infographics, and [enter your innovative ideas here].
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify content gaps, opportunities, and trends.
  • Collaborating with designers, developers, and other content creators to envision and build new content formats.
  • Help create and maintain internal documentation covering content standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Be the primary writer and executive editor for the Coast blog, overseeing a strategic editorial calendar and collaborating with internal and external experts to craft posts.
  • Manage a team of freelance writers, giving comprehensive feedback and staying on top of deadlines.
  • Translate data and insights into straightforward, persuasive stories that resonate with current and prospective customers
  • Provide writing and editing support to other teams, including product marketing, demand generation, sales, and customer success, as required.
  • Measure our content performance and use those insights to prioritize workload and inform strategic decision-making.

Here is what we’re looking for in a candidate

  • Driving real business results. You should be comfortable with synthesizing data to inform content strategy and understand how content is performing.
  • Lead the charge. The right person will have high quality standards and a bias to act. It’s an exciting time to join Coast and grow our business, and we need people who are motivated to define and evolve our work as a marketing team and a company.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2+ year of content marketing experience; owning ideation, writing, editing, and publishing.
  • Must be comfortable with SEO best practices; familiar with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and others to support independent SEO research and content development.
  • Creative storyteller: can turn any subject into a compelling piece of long-form content that captures the reader’s interest and inspires action.
  • Takes initiative: can take an assignment and run with it, involving relevant stakeholders and owning the initiative from beginning to end, with some oversight from a manager.
  • Editorially rigorous: pays close attention to detail, highly proficient in grammar and syntax, and strives to publish the highest quality content every time.
  • Marketing-oriented: knows how to develop content for different stages of the funnel to attract visitors, inspire consideration, drive conversion, and build brand affinity.
  • Data-driven: looking to better understand our content performance and find opportunities to improve.
  • Process-oriented: can help solidify content marketing processes and create new ones to improve team workflow.

Compensation: Competitive base salary ($60k - $80k), equity, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), and a 401k plan with employer matching

Product: The market we are going after is massive and way underserved. Our customers love the product and use it for hours every day. What you will be building will directly impact their everyday life. We use Coast as our central nervous system just like our customers!
