Event Marketing Coordinator, Data + AI Summit (contractor) at Databricks

As an event marketing coordinator at Databricks, you will work closely with marketing and cross-functional stakeholders to help drive operations for Data + AI Summit. You will bring your enthusiasm for the organization, spreadsheets, process, and more to the table. You will have an integral role in supporting the team in executing tactical tasks for the conference that include but are not limited to the overall communication plan and ancillary events.

The impact you will have:

  • Support our annual Data + AI Summit workstream drivers in executing tactical tasks for overall program strategy
  • Support the Data + AI team to meet or exceed conference targets including registration, training attendees, pipeline, and more
  • Strong relationships built with happy marketing and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Smooth operations and flawless execution of Summit related tasks that result in stakeholder feedback and overall Summit results
  • Manage team workload in Asana and keep tasks updated to ensure SLAs are met. Facilitate a smooth handoff between team members and partners
  • One step ahead with organizing program materials, processes, and logistics
  • Ability to propose and execute on overall fulfillment strategy for care packages, prizes, gifts, and other giveaways
  • Net new best in class program materials, systems, marketing, and event targeting to continue to push the envelope and take Summit to the next level

What we look for:

  • 1-3 years of event marketing experience in a B2B enterprise software company
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort in driving workstream meetings and leading discussions
  • Highly skilled with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail), MS Excel, Mac, and technology literate
  • Proven capacity for exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, self-starting, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong project management skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Must be metrics-driven and be a strong analytical thinker for data points from registration, Salesforce, and conference platform that is directly related to the success and future of the conference
  • Marketing Automation: Build, test, and develop landing pages and emails in Knak for custom events
  • Ability to QA and test program builds for various programs
  • Virtual event experience preferred
  • Marketo, Salesforce, Tableau, Asana, Rainfocus experience preferred
