We’re hiring worldwide. Currently our team is across the United States, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Turkey.
Location agnostic pay. We try to pay competitively on a global standard. This role is $80-110K USD + equity. Your salary is dependent upon many factors, including years of experience, expertise, etc.

- You’re interested in shaping, contributing to, and championing design culture at Journey. We’ve only had a design team of one for a handful of months.

- Graphic design. Working with marketing team, boost news and new feature annoucements with cool static and motion (not must, but a big plus) collaterals. Prepare images for the blog, events etc.

About The Role:
At Montra, we’re working to create a magical video creation experience; in doing so, design is at the centre of who we are. As our first product design hire, you'll work closely with our CEO to wireframe, design and ultimately shape the user experience and interface beyond our initial MVP. You’ll have the autonomy to take risks and challenge the norms well beyond your typical video editor.

About the Position
We are seeking a Multimedia Designer who shares a deep commitment to our mission and whose experience and vision will deepen our capacity and enhance our impact as we strive to serve public school districts across the state of Texas. The Multimedia Designer, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Digital Communications, will play a critical role in creating visually compelling and engaging print and digital collateral to primarily support The Holdsworth Center’s fundraising activities (80 percent time allocation) as well as other graphic design needs across the organization, both internal and external (20 percent time allocation). This position is based in Austin, Texas, with the opportunity to work from our beautiful Campus on Lake Austin at least three days a week.
Responsibilities:
Create and design a range of print and digital collateral primarily tailored to future and current donors
Manage deliverables against various time frames including quick turn and long-term projects that involve several months of development
Ensure projects are completed with attention to quality, detail and are on schedule
Adhere to established brand and messaging guidelines while also challenging our team to evolve them based on the context
Lead the presentation of ideas, mood boards, storyboards, and mockups of visual design projects and play a role in managing feedback and approvals
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with emphasis on graphic design, photography, and/or web design preferred
4-5 years working with a creative team environment or design firm with a solid background in graphic design
Experience supporting fundraising or sales/marketing campaigns
Experience in branding, web design, typography, and print
Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
Familiarity in working with a wide range of media—including design, photography, and video
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Extremely detail oriented
Ability to think strategically and creatively, work well under pressure, and manage details of several concurrent projects.
Excellent project management skills; ability to establish priorities, manage time and meet deadlines
Takes initiative, kindly assertive and is a self-starter
Possesses outstanding typography and layout skills with a keen eye for detail
Nice to have:
Familiarity with HTML and CSS
Expertise in event photography
Experience managing a Digital Asset Management platform

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $75,000 to $80,000
Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including but not limited, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. The Holdsworth Center also factors internal pay equity in evaluating compensation.

What your day-to-day will be like:

· Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar
· Strong knowledge of best practices in UI/UX design principles and techniques for web-based solutions.
· Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to work closely with Engineering and Product teams to bring ideas to completion. This includes effectively discussing design processes, ideas, and solutions while being open to feedback and constructive criticism.
· Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, enabling a better understanding of how designs are translated into code and facilitating more effective communication with engineering.

Overview
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to design easy-to-use interfaces for our clients.
UI/UX Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with Figma best practices, including auto payouts, components, variables, accessibility standards and even design tokens. If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.
Duties & Expectations
Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
Build page navigation buttons and search fields
Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
Qualifications:
2-3 Years work experience as a UI/UX Designer
2-3 Years of experience creating UI Designs using Figma
Portfolio of design projects
Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills
Good time-management skills
A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, & communicating progress.
The ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously
Bonus: Proficiency working in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop
