About the Position
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the systems that power our platform, with a focus on both frontend and backend development. Your role will involve collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure our platform is reliable, scalable, and secure.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect brand-new software solutions to fulfill project requirements
- Create, design, and implement layouts for new as well as existing web and mobile pages
- Create and maintain database designs for data storage and processing
- Maintain legacy code written by other developers, including bug fixes
- Integrate external software libraries and APIs into existing projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain web + mobile applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Help scale our platform as we expand.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience developing Ruby on Rails web applications
- Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
- Excellent knowledge of front-end web programming languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, with ability to render server-side and client-side content.
- 3+ years of experience with common web & mobile development tools and services, such as version control software, package managers, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with common programming design patterns and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Postgres/SQL database systems, ideally applied in a large-scale data analysis product (Google BigQuery preferred).

About the Role:
Reporting to our Head of Engineering, as a Full Stack Software Engineer, you wil design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet the functional and non-functional requirements of our product. We are looking for engineers with a passion for learning and expertise in service-oriented architectures, distributed systems, machine learning, algorithms, databases, and front-end technologies.
This is a remote role with the option to work anywhere.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on all phases of software development, including ideation, prototyping, design, and production.
- Build products, tools, and services from scratch and evolve existing systems.
- Apply your technical expertise to guide the team in making thoughtful and scalable design decisions.
- Influence technology and architectural roadmap of the engineering teams.
- Build and Iterate quickly and work with product, design, and QA teams to implement new features.
- Contribute to our suite of automated test scripts.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 to 5 years of software application and systems development experience.
- Strong Javascript knowledge (TypeScript preferred)
- Worked on any popular front-end framework (Angular is nice to have).
- Experience with Backend/API Development skills, preferably using Node JS.
- Expertise with databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB.
