Job Description

About Dayout:

This is an unpaid position with the potential for future employment as we grow.
We are a fully remote team made up of 20 designers, developers, marketers and researchers from all over the world. We are getting ready for our beta release of our mobile app and looking expand our team.

Our mission is to give people a platform where they can share their ideas with other people to use as their own. We are currently focused on building our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and are looking for a passionate and motivated UX Researcher to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Research: Plan, conduct, and analyze user research to gather insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points related to time management, productivity, planning, and idea sharing.
  • Utilize Pendo: Use the UX tool Pendo to collect valuable data from early users, track user interactions, and gather feedback.
  • User Interviews: Conduct user interviews to understand user needs, preferences, and experiences.
  • Usability Testing: Plan and execute usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of the MVP and identify areas for improvement.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Persona Development: Enhance our detailed user personas and collborate on journey maps to give us more empathy for our users.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure user insights are incorporated into the product development process.
  • Report Findings: Present research findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX research and apply this knowledge to enhance the research process.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Some experience in UX research, with a strong interest in time management, productivity, planning, and idea sharing.
  • Research Skills: Proficiency in various UX research methodologies and tools.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Pendo or similar UX tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey research findings clearly and effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for understanding user behavior.
  • Empathy: Strong empathy for users and a commitment to understanding their needs and challenges.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and handle changing priorities with ease.
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude and willingness to work as part of a team to achieve common goals.

Nice to Have:

  • Startup Experience: Previous experience working in a startup environment is a plus.
  • Design Thinking: Familiarity with design thinking principles and processes.
  • Technical Background: Basic understanding of design and development processes.
