About this role:

Do you think about consumer motivations and habits? Do you love to learn and grow? The creative team at Devoted Health is looking for a multifaceted associate writer who can create compelling ads and marketing assets that engage, persuade, and simplify a complicated shopping experience.

Devoted Health is not a typical healthcare company. We’re a company focused on delivering better health to consumers. Our copy team plays a key role in helping consumers understand that difference and choose Devoted Health.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment. You’re a self-starter who’s unafraid to ask questions. You’re open to really digging in and learning the ins and outs of Medicare and other complex topics. You love obsessing over the little details—like word choice and punctuation—but you can also work fast and pivot quickly when priorities change.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Writing creative copy and content that’s in our brand voice and aligned with our overall brand strategy
  • Crafting materials that conveys the “meat” of a message clearly and simply
  • Understanding how to adjust brand voice to write for different audiences (prospects, members, providers, etc.)
  • Working alongside designers to make sure your copy sings in layout
  • Collaborating with in-house subject matter experts to make sure our materials are accurate and helpful

Desired skills and experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience writing for a brand or news site, preferably at an in-house team
  • English or journalism degree
  • Experience working in a very fast-paced or startup environment
  • Strong grasp of English language and grammar
  • Familiarity working with a style guide
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • A can-do attitude
  • Portfolio and cover letter required
  • Healthcare background a plus, but not required
