Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York, and Los Angeles is $172,000 - $199,000 USD, and in all other US locations is $157,000 - $175,000 USD, plus equity and benefits. The annual base salary range for this position in Canada is $180,000 - $200,000 CAD, plus equity and benefits.

Compensation

I'm currently working on overhauling an existing application explicitly tailored for grading trading card games (TCGs) like Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and One Piece. This app leverages cutting-edge AI technology, enabling users to capture card images using the in-app camera effortlessly. Once the photos are taken, the app delivers precise grading and valuation for each card. Moreover, users can immerse themselves in an interactive experience by viewing the results in augmented reality.

I'm looking for a design that differentiates us from traditional grading companies. Incorporating elements of technology and Japanese culture could be a fantastic approach.

We’re Secret Sauce, a cutting-edge design firm, and we’re looking for a talented, experienced web, brand, and visual designer to join our team on a new, exciting project. Our client needs a sleek, forward-thinking brand and website, and you’ll be working directly with me (a designer and the CEO of Secret Sauce) to bring it to life. This project could also lead to many more opportunities. Please also let us know if you work in 3D/Blender/Spline (not required for this project, but could impact our decision).

What you’ll do:

Collaborate with the Secret Sauce team on developing a cohesive brand identity, graphical style, and website (similar to neon.tech, reflect.app, and authkit.com). You must be able to hit this specific quality and aesthetic.

Design a modern, intuitive, and visually stunning website using Figma.

Create graphic elements and animations to enhance the user experience. Proficiency in After Effects and Rive is a big plus.

Contribute to discussions on overall aesthetic and UX, bringing fresh ideas and impeccable taste to the table.

What you bring:

Fluency in Figma—from prototyping to handing off polished designs.

An exceptional sense of design and aesthetics, with a strong portfolio that showcases clean, contemporary web design.

Animation skills in After Effects and Rive (preferred but not required).

Ability to collaborate closely, take direction, and offer creative solutions...sometimes on a tight timeline.

Experience working on projects that balance cutting-edge visuals with seamless functionality.

English Fluency required. Working hours overlapping with Pacific Time (USA) required.
