About The Role
As Publishing.com's first Technical Product Manager, you'll lead crucial efforts in our groundbreaking AI project, Publishing.ai, overseeing product lifecycle management and driving innovation, leveraging your problem-solving skills and deep understanding of machine learning fundamentals to shape the future of self-publishing; collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and support, you'll translate customer needs into actionable features, ensuring successful product delivery aligned with company objectives, while also fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement, all within a remote team dedicated to empowering authors worldwide.

Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle management from ideation to launch, with a strong focus on technical implementation and feasibility.
Define and prioritize technical requirements and product features based on a deep understanding of customer needs, business objectives, and market trends.
Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications, architecture designs, and implementation plans.
Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain product roadmaps, release plans, and sprint backlogs, effectively communicating technical requirements and milestones to stakeholders.

Monitor product performance and key technical metrics, conduct technical feasibility assessments, and identify opportunities for optimization and scalability.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to internal teams, customers, and partners on product integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Make decisions based on data, understanding of A/B testing, and user feedback to create informed product decisions and ensure the definition of success with all product features.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience leading the end-to-end SaaS product development process from ideation to launch in an agile scrum environment.
  • Proficiency in ML (machine learning) fundamentals.
  • Ability to understand and prioritize technical requirements and features.
  • Skills in conducting in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and gathering user feedback.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Design teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans.
  • Exceptional communication, ownership, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in defining and maintaining APIs, data schemas, and integration points for seamless interoperability.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining product roadmaps, release plans, and sprint backlogs, while effectively communicating technical requirements and milestones. Skills in monitoring product performance, conducting feasibility assessments, and providing technical guidance to ensure optimal product functionality.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building AI (artificial intelligence) products.
  • Experience or interest in digital marketing, self-publishing, and education industries.
  • Experience leading technical teams.
