About the role

We're looking for a Senior/Staff Back-End Engineer to assume a pivotal role in our engineering team. You won't just be an engineer; you'll be a technical lead shaping the technology, product, and culture of our company.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development of services that generate key data artifacts for our powerful metric tree applications.
  • Tackle core challenges in the data product domain, such as latency, scalability, and security.
  • Be the driving force behind infrastructure to ensure a delightful end-user experience for our application team.
  • Thoughtfully integrate our software with the data tooling ecosystem.

About you

To excel in this role, you bring:

  • A passion for building highly performant data-intensive back-end services that are the foundation for enabling a powerful user experience
  • Hands-on expertise in building and scaling data transformations and pipelines
  • A robust grasp of data modeling principles and business metrics
  • Preferably, a track record as a senior data platform engineer at a startup or fast-paced enterprise
  • A keen awareness of industry advancements such as DBT, metric layers, or database technologies like duckDB, with a knack for utilizing them effectively
  • High proficiency and enthusiasm to code in Python, Rust, or Typescript
  • Endless curiosity and a keen interest in understanding the complete product end to end
