Job Description

T-Rex is seeking a Project Manager to support our mission to manage deployment of healthcare management technology to military treatment facilities (MTF) and installations around the world in support of our Defense Health Agency (DHA) customer. The candidate will work closely with staff at site, senior T-Rex Technical Leads, DHMS leaders/staff and DHMS vendors to define, socialize, and implement new Business Operations processes.

The PEO Defense Healthcare Management System (DHMS) is transforming the delivery of health care and advance data sharing through a modernized electronic health record for service members, veterans and their families. The Workforce 3.0 program within DHMS is a managed solution that leverages innovative new processes, methods, and best-in-class methodologies from the private sector to enable the entire PEO DHMS workforce to deliver world-class technology. The DHMS systems provide important health IT capabilities to 9.6 million active duty military, their families, and their beneficiaries. This program supports management of technical deployments, field deployments, and technology training/adoption. Lets talk about how you can help make a difference!


  • Support definition, socialization, and implementation of new Business Operations processes, including program-wide processes.
  • Serve as Knowledge Management lead within the program office, defining an overall approach and establishing and/or maintaining key resources (e.g., SharePoint sites, Teams channels, etc.).
  • Define and manage project plans for key Business Operations initiatives, including coordinating across teams on dependencies.
  • Lead and/or support key meetings on Business Operations topics, including defining agendas and tracking decisions and action items.
  • Support Business Operations lead on other priorities, as needed.


  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager or in a related field
  • Experience developing detailed schedules and tracking and reporting status
  • Experience developing, managing, and executing business operations in concert with complex set of stakeholders.
  • Requires strong knowledge of SharePoint and MS Office suite
  • Experience identifying and addressing non-conformance issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or another similar discipline
  • Preferred Military or DOD experience
  • Experience at the Defense Health Agency

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $133,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
