Senior UX Researcher (Remote in Europe) at Prezi

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced UX researcher to help us shape Prezi’s exciting future defining visual communication for this new era of remote work. We believe that all good things start when people share ideas in visually engaging and interactive ways. We’re doing groundbreaking work reinventing meetings and presentations for the new hybrid workspace enhancing video conferencing with immersive, interactive content.

UX researchers collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and product designers. They help shape the future of our products with insights at every step of the process, from early discovery, through evolving solutions through solution ideation and design, and evaluating impact post-release.

As a UX researcher, your job is to understand our customers’ needs, pain points and desires, and iteratively shape a wide variety of solutions by usability testing mockups and prototypes. You can inform decisions about the high-level design of workflows and the details of micro-interactions. You consult with product managers, developers, and UX researchers to reach the best possible solution.

Based in Germany, Hungary or Latvia (we have offices in Berlin, Budapest and Riga, but we are a virtual first company, so you can work remotely from these countries), you’ll report to the Director of UX Research,Gabor Valyi

If you...

  • have 4+ years of user research experience (domain experience exploring office productivity, video, remote collaboration opportunity spaces is a plus)
  • have deep empathy for customers, bringing the user context (intent, needs, technical competence, use cases, user flows, etc) to defining, scoping, prioritizing, evaluating and evolving solutions
  • have solid experience in conducting user experience research with a wide variety of user research methods involving qualitative (competitor analysis/desk research, contextual interviews, usability testing, survey, ethnography, diary study) and quantitative data on user behavior
  • actively engage with understanding business priorities as they relate to the customer experience, working with stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for product development.
  • excellent skills synthesizing and communicating research findings with product partners and companywide stakeholders, demonstrated track record of insights impacting product and design decisions and informing strategy
  • have experience working with complex user flows and mass market consumer grade products (desktop apps, mobile apps, web based services) as a user experience researcher
  • have great verbal and written communication in English
  • strive in an agile, fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities in a flexible manner
  • have a constructive attitude and ability process feedback easily
  • have a Master’s degree preferably in Cognitive Sciences / Psychology / Human Computer Interaction / Design / Computer Science
