About the Team

The AllTrails marketing team is building a global, beloved outdoors brand. We launch and scale creative and performance-driven marketing levers to bring more people onto the AllTrails platform, and develop compelling, impactful angles to engage with and retain existing subscribers. The first-ever AllTrails Product Marketing Manager reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and is a unique opportunity to shape the fast-growing AllTrails brand. The right candidate brings deep product marketing experience and is a strong consumer advocate, data-driven strategist, and expert storyteller. Above all, this person is inspired by empowering consumers around the world to access the outdoors.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Building product marketing strategies, leveraging consumer, competitive, and internal insights to inform all aspects of AllTrails product marketing including product positioning and messaging and go-to-market plans
  • Conducting consumer research and gathering competitive insights - via quantitative surveys and qualitative research - to understand consumers’ needs and the external context
  • Analyzing and synthesizing a variety of data points into compelling stories and actionable insights
  • Leading cross-functional product marketing launches to bring new features or campaigns to market. You will lead by influence and take a lot of initiative, but be continuously collaborative
  • Measuring success, sharing your impact, and iterating to drive the next level of growth
  • Establishing product marketing as a function within AllTrails, developing scalable product marketing processes to support the growth of a burgeoning global brand
  • Acting creatively, resourcefully, and rapidly to solve a range of challenges, diving in wherever it is needed

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years of consumer and/or technology product marketing, driving adoption of products and features
  • Strong strategic thinking, with an innate ability to synthesize complex, unstructured information from a variety of sources into actionable, implementable recommendations
  • Experience using insights to build business cases to inform product and company strategy
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to pull insights directly from raw data sets
  • Insatiable curiosity - an eye to the latest trends in marketing, newest players in the space, and relevant analogs
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, achieving measurable success, and thriving in a team environment
  • Empathy, open-mindedness, and humility
  • Comfort with ambiguity and self-directed
  • Passion for the outdoors

  • Experience working at a mobile-first B2C company
  • High-growth or subscription business experience
  • Management consulting experience
