What we are looking for

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to direct product development and ensure high return on investment (ROI.) You’ll translate ideas into strategy and features. You will follow product development from start to finish. To succeed in this role, you should be a perceptive leader and a reliable problem-solver. If you’re also confident and have a knack for knowing what ideas will and won’t work, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the team in product management principles and best practices without being in a management role.
  • Identify continuous improvements across multiple product teams and implement innovation strategies to increase velocity and improve quality
  • Works closely with the Head of Product to prepare, maintain and communicate the product roadmap, which defines product enhancements for short and long-term releases.
  • Act as a product evangelist and become the subject matter expert of any assigned product or service throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Works closely with the Head of Product to collaborate and contribute on product strategy and strategic decisions.
  • Bridges the communication between the agile/project teams and key stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships.
  • Works with Product Owners to manage and prioritize product backlog based on the impact/effort prioritization methodology.
  • Ensure that all stories in the backlog are sound and will result in added value to features.
  • Assists with managing cross team dependencies, negotiating, and reprioritizing as appropriate.
  • Accepts completed development efforts by ensuring that the user value is delivered, and acceptance criteria are met.
  • Analyze and evaluate product performance metrics to formulate recommendations regarding market opportunities and product enhancements.
  • Utilize tools and reports, such as JIRA and Confluence, to collect, develop and analyze agile data and metrics while tracking and managing teams progress.
  • Develop scalable ways to track and report Product Team progress on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with at least 3 years of experience in a lead role.
  • Previous experience at a venture-backed startup.
  • Demonstrated leadership effectiveness engaging delivery teams, customers, and other stakeholders to support business objectives and develop overall product management capability (people, process, product)
  • Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to oversee cross-site, cross-functional teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with technical and non-technical personnel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the product management/product discipline
  • Experience working with multiple products teams in a co-located setting.
  • Experience with Human-Centered Design concepts and implementations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • Experience in fintech
  • Management experience
