About the Role

Our Product mission is to leverage the magical combination of the best newsroom in sports with our passionate subscriber communities to attract and delight sports fans around the globe. As a Product Manager, Engagement, you will be critical to our success in achieving our mission. You will lead critical cross-functional projects, and work with engineers, designers, marketers, and analysts to execute seamlessly on behalf of the business and our users. You will build and improve many core features that our subscribers use every day, and are front-and-center to our everyday user experience, such as our personalized home experience, team and league hubs, and user communities. This role reports directly to a Lead Product Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Understand our end users, our company’s strategic goals, and the sports media landscape broadly.
  • Inform the strategy for your product area to meet business objectives.
  • Communicate strategy, roadmap, and results to internal stakeholders.
  • Execute on your roadmap with a tech pod including Design, Engineering, Marketing, Editorial, and other stakeholders.
  • Foster a highly collaborative cross-functional environment focused on shared metrics and objectives.
  • Work closely with the rest of the Product team to align initiatives and dependencies, so that we create a cohesive global product experience.
  • Understand technical considerations, and work collaboratively with engineering to balance level of effort and quality + scalability.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of highly relevant product management experience at a fast-growing consumer company (sports / media is a plus), or demonstrated success in a similar role.
  • High familiarity with and love for sports and journalism; user of sports apps / websites.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects.
  • Ability to empathize with users.
  • Comfort with data - analyzing data, deriving insights, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Eagerness to try new things and learn - and a willingness to fail.
