Construction & Facilities Project Manager
This is a remote friendly position, 25% travel upon request
Madison Reed is hiring a Project Manager with expertise in Construction and Facilities to manage our rapid, nationwide expansion of Hair Color Bars. You are responsible within a region for managing multiple construction projects concurrently, ensuring each one stays on budget, on schedule, and is built to the Madison Reed standard. This includes tracking, managing, and ordering from all vendors as well as hiring and supporting a network of general contractors to ensure timelines and budgets are met. The position will report to the Director of Construction & Facilities.
What you will do:
Construction:
- Protects brand standards and quality control over new development projects.
- Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors,negotiates pricing and awards all construction projects.
- Ensures all drawings are checked against the bid specifications and any LL work.
- Provide detailed project updates on the weekly status call.
- Leads weekly construction calls and reviews weekly updates.
- Reviews and manages all change orders.
- Ensures construction administration processes are developed and executed.
- Manages project expenditures ensuring accuracy, documentation, approvals, payment reporting, and tracking.
- Responsible for the development of the project schedule and schedule updates.
- Performs project closeout including final paperwork, job walk through and any other follow up items.
- Creates punch lists for all new builds and follows them through to completion.
- Manages all warranty repair work.
- Assist with the management of all facilities repairs.
- Makes recommendations on build efficiencies working within our design aesthetic.
- On call during non-business hours as needed.
What you’ll have:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
- 5+ years of commercial construction projects experience.
- Restaurant/retail/service industry experience a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of regulations and permits required.
- Track record of successful project completion resulting in high customer satisfaction.
- Vendor relationship management & negotiation experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication, planning and organizational skills with high attention to detail and follow up.
- Experience with Service Channel.

As a Manager at Evil Martians, you’ll have a pivotal role in managing products and projects, validating ideas, and coordinating timelines and tasks within the project team. Martian Manager responsibilities include:
- Helping customers make product decisions and defining product development vectors, documenting decisions and agreements along the way. Assisting clients during pivotal moments, for instance when they are exploring a scalable business model or experiencing explosive growth.

The Role
As the Strategic Account & Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in not only developing detailed vehicle deployment plans and overseeing the successful implementation of our cutting-edge vehicle system but also in cultivating and managing relationships with our prestigious Fortune-500 clients. Assistant Project Manager Facilities, Construction & Design
The Assistant Project Manager assists with the project management of Madison Reed’s Hair Color Bar development process, including coordinating materials ordering and coordinating their arrival on site, processing POs and invoices, tracking and reporting on project costs, tracking project timelines and other miscellaneous project coordination/management responsibilities related to Hair Color Bar development. The Assistant Project Manager is the key administrative professional on the team.
The ideal candidate will be obsessed with organization, administration, processes, and systems. They will need to be energetic, a self-starter, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented. They will also need to be able to communicate with all levels of individuals within and outside the organization while successfully managing multiple tasks. ****
What you will do:
- Identify, propose, and seek approval for refresh projects needed for existing locations.
- Develop scope, budget, and timelines for refresh projects and put out to bid.
- Coordinate refresh projects with local staff and manage the project to ensure no disruption to the store’s operation.
Track all project costs and report out regularly.
- Execute all vendor contracts and, coordinate payments with the finance department, and assist with vendor setup through Netsuite/Bill.com.
- Receive, review, and track all vendor invoices, submit to accounting and approve through Netsuite/Bill.com.
Maintain all contracts, drawings, permits, and certifications per project.
Provide Landlord with renderings, fit plans, project materials (as requested) and signage submittals as part of the lease exhibits.
Set up all initial utilities for new Hair Color Bars.
Maintain interior sign specifications and coordinate site-specific graphic asset lists; manage an asset spreadsheet; dictate creative timelines; and liaison between the Creative and Construction departments.
Distribute and maintain construction schedules with key vendors: lighting, flooring, millwork, etc. to lock down lead times and delivery dates.
Any other tasks as requested.
The base salary range for this position is between 85k up to 90k. At Madison Reed, we aim to pay competitively. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
