We believe we can do this by becoming the most cost-effective, user-friendly, and fun financial app in the country! Although our Product is for Pakistanis, our team is international and young with Product Owners and Engineers from countries such as Germany, Poland, and the United Kingdom. We’ve grown to a family of 150+ Sadanauts and this is just the beginning! 💪

About this role

Our Product Designers have a thorough understanding of the problem-solving process. From the initial research to the final product, they’re involved every step of the way working closely with other departments and having a strong understanding of user pain points. Here’s a rundown of what we look for in our Product Designers:

  • To create an impactful design, we’ll need our Product Designers to be able to clearly articulate problems and solutions. Having strong communication skills and the willingness to develop these skills is crucial
  • Our Product Designers don’t work in silos; in order to get the best result, you need to collaborate and work closely with other teams
  • Experience in distilling and digesting data sets, as well as experience in design systems and design thinking methods will be extremely helpful in this role
  • Product Designers are involved throughout the entire design process end-to-end. Therefore, it’s important for them to have an understanding of interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
  • We also love to see our Product Designers have knowledge of following and creating design language patterns

What you’ll need before you apply

  • 3+ years of Product design experience
  • A strong portfolio showcasing examples of good design and problem-solving in a mobile app environment
  • Experience using Figma is a plus!

What happens if I get this role- what will my work look like?

You’ll be creating designs for a mobile app. You can expect to work with technologies such as Figma, and to be learning constantly on the job. Here’s what your life as a Product Designer at SadaPay will look like:

  • We don’t just dive straight into the design; first, we look into the problem and identify all the possible solutions, as well as clarify our long-term and short-term goals. The research or “discovery” phrase that comes before the actual design requires as much thought, time, and effort as the actual design so be prepared for a lot of pre-design research
  • We have squads that cover each segment of our user experience. When you become a Product Designer at SadaPay, you’ll be part of a specific squad and will be working closely with the Product Manager of that squad as well as relevant departments such as Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Experience
  • You’ll of course be designing the end-to-end user experience, from discovery to production ready-UI for our app

What life at SadaPay is like

Even though we’re a remote-first company, we do our best to ensure that our team (or “Sadanauts” as we refer to ourselves) feel close and connected to one another. We want you to actually love your work, and we offer a host of perks and benefits to show you that we care 💙

  • We have an employee stock option plan in place, meaning that you can earn equity in the company and become an “owner”
  • We’re purely remote-first so you can work from anywhere in the world that you feel comfortable
  • We have flexible working hours and offer unlimited leaves to help you maintain a work-life balance
  • Each Sadanaut, regardless of their grade, is covered by the same medical and life insurance (both outpatient and inpatient care that includes their immediate family and parents)
  • A MacBook is provided to all Sadanauts, as well as an internet device and an allowance for headphones so that you have everything you need to be productive

That’s not all; we also have company-wide zoom hangouts throughout the year, annual retreats, an allowance to take online courses and so much more.
