3D design project at Xailient

- Fulltime
- Anywhere (100% Remote) Only
Job Description
The opportunity
•This is an immediate project with long-term potential.
•As CEO, I’m looking for an outside ‘go to’ assistant to help me deliver beautiful communications.
•My timezone is Sydney Australia. I don’t care where you are, but I expect to be able to communicate in real-time at least somewhere in the hours within the 8am-6pm Sydney time. Usually that will be via slack or WhatsApp, but we should be able to jump on a Zoom “today” when collaborating on something.
•I have 1 outside freelancer that I’ve engaged in multiple companies over the years. But she’s got too much work, so I’m hoping for another collaborator.
•Initially I want to do deliverable based pricing. As we get to know each other, we can discuss hourly, retainer, etc. but initially we will build trust with specific engagement to start.
•I understand the dangers of ‘scope creep’ to your profitability. I expect you also understand that I need to se and stick to a budget. You’re the design professional - Set reasonable expectations about iterations and feedback and we’ll stay aligned. In the American idiom, “good fences make good neighbors”
•Xailient is a startup. We are the market leader in privacy-safe Computer Vision AI.
•Xailient AI runs inside cameras, so devices can automate interactions without sending data to the cloud. This reduces costs, improves responsiveness, and enhances privacy.
The project
•3D Product Model (Blender compatible) of “Xailient Product”
•3D Scene with Product(s) in position and Blender cameras in position for views
•Powerpoint slides using views from the 3D model to illustrate key product use cases
•We will eventually do 3 or more of these scenes. To start, just 1.
•Later we will do some “fly-through” animations of the same scene
We will supply:
•3D ”Scene” purchased from TurboSquid or similar
•3D “Models” purchased from TurboSquid
•Photographs of product
•Approximate Storyboards of scene
You will need to:
•Create good quality, medium detail 3D model of Product
•Insert Product into Scene multiple places
•Set camera and take views in Blender
•Export to JPEG
•Insert to PPT and “adjust color” to match brand
•Adjust field of view etc. from storyboard to make it look good in powerpointand consistent with brand

What We Can Offer

This gives her in-depth experience in course planning, expert interviews, video shoots, and content editing. She remains deeply passionate about content creation and recently filmed at MoMA for an AI-art video.
- A full-time position, within a fully remote organization. Daily video-based collaboration with your colleagues from elsewhere on the planet, and you’ll get to meet up on team trips every year.
- A work culture with no fluffy titles, political agendas and corporate drama. Your colleagues value your warm character, your strong work ethic, and the results you deliver. Junior or senior, if you embody old-school virtues of always striving to deliver results, learn and become better every day, you'll thrive at the IxDF.
- A daily mission to help impact, empower, and enrich the lives of millions of people by creating affordable high-end design education to everyone across the planet. It’ll be yours too.
- A company where the distance between idea and execution is minimal. We’re a highly agile organisation with zero bureaucracy or corporate politics – and with exceptional order and efficiency.
- A company culture where passion meets high performance and excellence. To help us improve the world (and yourself in the process), you’ll need grit, strong work ethic, long-term thinking, and self-discipline.
- We thrive because we have a hands-on attitude and a bias towards action as opposed to fluff-filled, unrealistic strategies. You’ll need crisp execution skills yourself and the ability to impress your colleagues with concrete results, just like they’ll impress you.
