About this role:
Shippo is rapidly growing and enabling more platforms to provide native shipping capabilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring our top partners are successful. As a Product Manager, you will be working closely with our business development teams to identify critical initiatives that will drive product adoption and work across our cross-functional development teams to strengthen our product.

You will have a front seat with some of our largest partners. You will play an active role in the selling cycle - being a representative of our diverse product team to help our partners understand why we’re the best partner to help them enable native shipping. You will identify opportunities, gather requirements, and negotiate timelines with our partners. You will work across our product organization to champion critical initiatives and ensure on-time delivery. All-in-all, you represent the voice of the customer.

Who you are:

  • You prioritize ruthlessly ensuring that ideas are well-validated and drives business outcomes.
  • You know how to manage complex projects that span multiple teams and can drive timely delivery
  • You are highly technical and can break down problems and integration touchpoints with the customer
  • You are able to create aligned goals with partners, and effectively negotiate with our partners on requirements and timelines
  • You have strong presentation skills and act as a strong partner to our business development team
  • You are able to establish trust and credibility with senior leadership members

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product management at a technology company
  • Experience working on developer products, API products, and platforms
  • Experience working across all phases of the SDLC and understand both the excitement and challenges that developers face at each phase
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally and leading through influence, not authority
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for a variety of audiences with a wide range of skill levels and technical backgrounds
  • Experience shipping products in a fast-moving environment with a heavy dose of ambiguity
  • A belief in the power of platforms. You are motivated by making other people successful
