Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team in handling defense sector contracting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of defense acquisition processes, and a proven track record in managing complex projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects within the defense vertical, ensuring alignment with Lazarus AI's vision and objectives.
- Develop, execute, and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Foster collaboration and communication among project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and government agencies.
- Ensure compliance with defense acquisition regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners in the defense sector.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Lazarus AI's project management methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline). A Master's degree or relevant certifications (PMP, Scrum Master, etc.) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years of experience in the defense sector.
- Strong understanding of defense acquisition processes, including Software Acquisition Pathway (SWP) and other acquisition pathways.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, including risk management, issue resolution, and change management.
- Familiarity with defense acquisition regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Experience working with government agencies, military branches, and/or defense contractors.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Compensation

This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This role is a 6+ month consulting contract and the salary range is $110-145k. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.

- Manage project timelines, working with clients and internal teams to keep projects on track and manage expectations where needed

- Attend Project Board meetings and prepare supporting slides/materials
Experience sought:
- 3+ years experience delivering technical digital projects including websites
- A compulsive list maker, organiser and executer
- Previous experience working in a digital agency is essential
