About This Role

As a SEO Content Manager at Monetate, you will play a pivotal role in driving organic traffic growth, engagement, acquisition, and pipeline. In this role you will collaborate closely with teams across our Marketing org, including Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Demand Generation, and Design to develop and exexcute a strategic program that drives highly qualified, high-converting traffic across a range of non-technical and technical personas.

What You’ll Do

  • Business-First SEO Strategy: Work with Senior Content Marketing Manager to create and maintain a content calendar that ties to our business objectives, improving our brand awareness, demand generation, and intent-based positioning.
  • Ongoing Onsite/On-Page Optimization: Conduct ongoing content and site optimization: improving readability, building out internal linking strategies, re-optimizing seasonal content, cleaning up under-performing content, optimizing for featured snippets, fine-tuning site taxonomy and other related tasks as needed.
  • Competitive and Industry Research: Conduct in-depth research across our industry and competitive landscape, identifying key content and tool gaps, as well as new content opportunities and initiatives. Feed relevant intel back to Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and other areas of the business as needed.
  • Ongoing Training and Development: Onboard and train writers on SEO best practices; provide content briefs and ensure content meets brand guidelines and business objectives. Train cross-functional team members on SEO as needed.
  • Offsite Build-Out: Conduct backlink analysis and work with internal stakeholders (PR, data analyst) and external partners to improve rank and domain authority with high-value backlinks.
  • Technical SEO: Implement strategies and audits to improve site speed, mobile responsiveness, and fix errors as needed.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of our SEO initiatives, reporting insights on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis using Google Data Studio as needed.
  • Persona & International Growth: Support content strategy build-out across new key personas and international markets.
  • New Tools, Content Formats, & Page Types: Work cross-functionally to develop new lead-gen tools, content formats, and page types to capture market intent and scale organic content.

What You’ll Need

  • 3-5 years in SEO within the tech or SaaS industry, preferably with content marketing experience.
  • Rich understanding of PR and other media channels as well as how they work with SEO.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills- with a key emphasis on top-notch writing abilities.
  • Technically savvy, with an understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript as it relates to SEO and web development, as well as an ability to work with web development teams.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SEMRush, WordPress, Screaming Frog, ContentKing, Google Analytics, Google Trends, Google Search Consule, Google Data Studio, etc.

Bonus

  • Conversion Rate Optimizatio (CRO) experience is preferred.
  • Strong background and understanding of A/B Testing, Personalization, CX, and/or retails is a plus.
