We are seeking a Contract SEO Manager to lead the digital strategy and activation of SEO initiatives across client accounts, with a focus on driving business growth and ensuring client success. This role involves identifying, prioritizing, and implementing SEO strategies, while working closely with internal and external development teams to deliver effective solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of SEO strategies aimed at driving end-to-end funnel conversions and scaling Organic Search KPIs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless omnichannel client success, working closely with digital marketing, product, and design teams to create synergies
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to assess the ROI of SEO strategies across core business KPIs, employing reporting visualization and automation tools
  • Conduct and present in-depth technical, competitive, local, app, and content SEO audits using a variety of tools
  • Tailor presentations for internal and client stakeholders, translating complex SEO concepts into business-focused objectives
  • Utilize project management platforms such as Jira to effectively manage and ensure timely completion of project and client deliverables
  • Define functional SEO requirements for technical improvements, collaborating with developers to implement, QA, and UAT technical updates
  • Leverage advanced tools and technologies like data APIs, scripts, AI, and Excel to enhance process efficiency
  • Perform comprehensive keyword, competitive, and content analysis, to contribute to a cohesive and optimized search strategy

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with a proven track record of driving SEO KPI growth through comprehensive, scalable strategies for enterprise-level brands
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with SEO platforms such as SEMRush, aHrefs, Google Search Console, ScreamingFrog, Lumar (formerly DeepCrawl), Yext, Lighthouse, and Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business; relevant certifications preferred
  • Digital-first agency experience strongly preferred
  • A strong analytical mindset; skilled at utilizing advanced technologies, AI, scripts, and automation tools to implement data-driven approaches for measuring SEO ROI
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) to create dashboards, identify data anomalies, and report on SEO trends
  • Experience partnering with technical teams in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex SEO issues
  • Skilled at managing and optimizing local SEO and franchise networks at scale (onsite and offsite) to drive growth in target markets
  • Experience developing and roadmapping SEO strategic initiatives in alignment with business goals and budgets
  • Experience with AI, app SEO, ASO, eCommerce SEO, programmatic, and/or onsite search optimization a plus

  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment that values accountability, continuous learning, and agility
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent work experience strongly preferred
