Role Summary

As the Global SEO Specialist, you are responsible for implementing SEO activity aligned to the global SEO strategy to improve GenesisCare’s online organic presence and ensure organic growth of our 440+ cancer centres across the USA, UK, Spain and Australia. You will implement SEO activity across all SEO disciplines including Technical SEO, Search Analytics (via Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics), Content Marketing, Link Building and Local Search Optimization (using Reputation.com).

You are highly organised, comfortable working to deadlines and have a curious, analytical mind. You will be part of a team of specialist digital experts whose work is aimed at engaging our community, generating new opportunities, and positioning GenesisCare as a leader in the industry across Australia, USA, Spain and the UK. Ultimately ensuring more people suffering from cancer can access the care they need.

The role will require supporting the SEO Manager to deliver SEO roadmaps for each of our regions; collating and driving data and insights reporting; delivering SEO strategies and content research that ensures we continually grow our global digital footprint.

We’re looking for a self-starter with a can-do attitude that is inquisitive and passionate about digital marketing and has a few years of SEO experience that you are looking to hone further. You’ll be good at problem solving and understand how to use technology to help deliver a solution.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Execute and measure the global SEO strategy, with considerations for regional market nuances and needs
  • Collaborate between Paid Media, Web and Content teams
  • Find, test and measure results for new SEO technologies and strategies
  • Ensure all SEO activities are performed on time and within budget
  • Implement actions from the digital marketing, web and SEO strategies, and provide input to help drive engagement and acquisition for patients and referring doctors
  • Implement activities and tactics that will deliver online traffic & acquisitions:
    • Content: performing research and support content development with SEO best practice
    • SEO: optimising website pages including updating meta information, tagging, keywords optimisation plus external link building to increase search ranking and traffic
    • Listings and maps: manage our doctor and clinic location listings on platforms such as Google My Business and health specific sites
  • Help analyse SEO data and create monthly insight reports for use across the business
  • Share up-to-date knowledge on current SEO with the broader business to assist with local activity and digital optimisation
  • Stay up to date with SEO best practice

Reporting lines:

As the Global SEO Specialist, you report directly to the Global SEO Manager. You have no direct reports.

Reporting lines and direct reports may change from time to time in line with the requirements of the role.

Your key working relationships:

As the Global SEO Specialist, you will need to develop strong relationships with the following internal parties:

  • Global digital marketing team
  • National marketing teams
  • Referrer engagement teams
  • IT
  • Global Customer Experience and Global Brand and Content teams

Experience:

  • 3+ years’ marketing experience
  • 2+ years SEO experience
  • Experience working to deliver on SEO strategies to drive acquisition and share of voice
  • Good SEO implementation skills – listings management, backlinks, meta, keyword and content research
  • Knowledge of SEO tools – Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, BrightEdge, SEMRush
  • Understanding of website, Google/Adobe Analytics, GMB and local listings platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree or experience considered equivalent

Other requirements for this role:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 360 suite
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team or independently
  • Problem solving skills
  • Spanish speaking and written skills a plus

Accountabilities:

  • Report risks and hazards to line manager and proactively participate in risk reduction strategies
  • Understand and comply with the policies and procedures of the Safety & Quality Management System

  • Be accountable for own actions and seek assistance when necessary
  • Demonstrate knowledge/competency in performance of skills relevant to the role, including completion of mandatory training
