The SEO Specialist, an integral part of our Digital Marketing team, will work on core SEO initiatives, including site-architecture, keyword research, on-page optimization and content optimization across the company. The ideal SEO Specialist will enjoy working in an evolving, fast-paced environment.

This position can be remote with occasional days in our San Diego office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing core web properties SEO initiatives, including site-architecture, keyword research, on-page optimization and content optimization across the company. You will be working with several different job agency brands/websites. Job board SEO experience is a plus.
  • Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation (Hub & Spoke Content Strategy) and conduct keyword research and analysis to identify high-value target keywords that our competitors may be ranking for.
  • Use best practices in Google's Content Quality [E-EAT]
  • Compose high-quality content to address keyword needs and content holes in site structure.
  • Collaborate with web development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly followed throughout website content
  • Establish workflows for auditing, editing, and sunsetting outdated and underperforming content (index bloat).
  • Use web analytics, audience segmentation, keyword research, and competitive insights to identify content opportunities (IE: Optimizing for Featured Snippets) that will contribute to traffic growth and website engagement.
  • Monitor, maintain and build programs that grow quality inbound links (backlinking outreach) and continuously seek out internal linking opportunities.
  • Regularly monitor KPIs, success metrics and other analytics to gauge SEO health. Track, report, and analyze organic website analytics.
  • Evangelize the importance of SEO throughout the organization. Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and algorithms including Core Web Vitals & mobile usability.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experience.
  • BS/BA degree required in a related field.
  • Technical SEO knowledge and analytical background.
  • Experience working with popular SEO tools (Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Wordpress (Yoast/Rankmath).
  • Familiarity with structured data e.g. Schema.org's JSON Schema
  • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics, as well as internal reporting tools.

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be $26.44 to $31.25 hourly, which equates to $55,000 to $65,000 annually.

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager's discretion.
