About Your Role:

The Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for evaluating and identifying new market opportunities for Sendoso’s product portfolio and as well as the introduction of new products into current and or adjacent markets. You analyze trends, know the competition, drive market research, and develop a GTM strategy for new market entry. You will lead value messaging, positioning, content creation, and field enablement. You will be a strong cross-functional partner to product, sales, and outbound marketing. You’ll work closely with leadership to make our business strategy a well-thought-out, ambitious, but achievable reality.

Projects You’ll Work On:

  • Drive market research to understand and develop buyer personas, value proposition, messaging, GTM strategy for new market GTM. You’ll leverage this knowledge to serve as the voice of the customer to guide and develop a successful GTM plan working with marketing and sales as we launch in new markets.
  • Provide competitive analysis, feature requirements, and other relevant guidance to Product Management to ensure a viable MVP for new markets entries.
  • Define, own, and drive compelling thought leadership narratives as we enter new markets that strategically positions Sendoso and drive engagement with our target buyers.
  • Build industry-leading sales tools and training (partnering with sales enablement) which would include defining and building the core “Bill of Materials or BOM” (pitch deck, evidence, ROI, case study, use cases, competitive positioning, and handling, sales playbook) for both horizontal and vertical focuses
  • Partner with Platform PMM to drive new market-specific product launches that appeal to our target audience ultimately generating new business pipeline.
  • Work across teams to develop content and strategies to generate pipeline. How do we engage our buyers? What campaigns and other content would be relevant and drive demand in guiding our marketing and demand gen teams?
  • Deliver monthly scorecards and reports to demonstrate progress against objectives, share insights and intelligence across teams, and serve as the voice of the new markets we are targeting within marketing and to the product team.

Experience:

  • You have 7+ years of product marketing experience.
  • Expertise at developing differentiated positioning through customer insights, creating buyer personas, capturing the buyer journey
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal - with experience crafting compelling narratives, sales tools, and content alongside enablement.
  • Experience working and partnering with sales teams and engaging directly with customers
  • Expertise in synthesizing and prioritizing market, sales, and competitive data to help inform and develop the product roadmap.
  • Have successfully built systems and processes from the ground up, oftentimes with limited existing structure.
  • Know how to analyze and size market opportunities and drive product and marketing strategies to capitalize on those opportunities
  • Possess superior judgment and reasoning. You effectively analyze problems, identify core issues, exercise common sense, see critical connections and ramifications, and weigh viable alternatives.
  • Able to be the knowledge expert between cross-functional teams, building an understanding of target audience needs and purchase decision process.
